Pen&Paper Science has been working with the Southern Tanzania Elephant Program (STEP) since 2024. STEP is a conservation organisation dedicated to protecting elephants, supporting communities that share their landscapes, and safeguarding biodiversity across southern Tanzania.

After more than a decade of conservation work, STEP embarked on a process to renew its visual identity and website to better reflect the organisation’s work and strengthen its positioning and visibility. Pen&Paper Science led the rebranding process, developing a renewed website and cohesive visual identity aligned with STEP’s history, vision and conservation work.

As part of our ongoing collaboration, Pen&Paper Science developed a one-year communications plan and supports STEP with annual reporting, video production and editing, content development and digital channel management. We produce science-based storytelling outputs that translate technical information and field-based results into clear, engaging and accessible narratives for diverse audiences.

The project also includes ongoing support and training for STEP team members in communications and content development, strengthening their capacity to independently produce and manage consistent, high-quality communications.
